KEMBARA MAHKOTA JOHOR (KMJ) 2013 - SEGAMAT

        Kembara Mahkota Johor is the brainchild of His Royal Highness Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim Ismail ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar who was then His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Johor, which aims to strengthen the Johor Royal family ties with the people of Johor.

        On the second day of Kembara Mahkota Johor 2013, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor graced the event at Kompleks One Segamat, Segamat along with the convoy which was also attended by the Tunku Laksamana of Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Iskandar, Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Hassanal Jefri and Tunku Putera Johor Tunku Abu Bakar.


The entourage was divided into 3 groups. The first group was to escort His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor to officiate Kompleks One Segamat. The activity continued with an Electronic Basketball game on the 1st floor. The following activity was a screening of a documentary of KMJ in Segamat and finally a presentation of contribution to the PDK participants.


The second group on the other hand escorted the Tunku Laksamana of Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Iskandar to grace a children's colouring competition. The next activity was to observe the women arranging towels, lanterns and analects (bunga rampai) as well as the SMI products exhibition from the sub-districts around Segamat. Tunku Abdul Jalil was then entertained with the creative movements and a collage presentation by nursery children.


The third group escorted the Tunku Panglima of Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman Hassanal Jefri and Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar to watch the Basketball tournament in front of the Kompleks One Segamat lobby. There was also a ‘Penalty Shootout' tournament. The event continued with a ‘Paintball Target Shooting' competition.


The KMJ entourage then headed to the main dining area. During the Royal Reception, the KMJ entourage was entertained with a cultural performance. Next, Tuan Haji Abdul Rahim bin Nin, the Segamat District Officer presented a gratitude speech to thank His Royal Highness the Sultan Johor for visiting the district of Segamat to meet up with the people. The event continued with the most awaited activity which was the lucky draw. The prizes were presented to 3 people who represented the Malays, Chinese and Indians respectively. The prizes comprised an Umrah package, a trip to China and a trip to India.


After the reception, the entourage moved to the next venue at the Sekolah Menengah Seri Bali, Chaah.
