SPECIAL BUSINESS LICENSE

General Information 
It is an offence under section 119 Local Government Act 1976, Act 171, upon any related by-laws that if someone conducts a business without any license from the Local Authority (in this case, Segamat District Council), found guilty can be fined of not more than RM 2000.00 or imprisonment not more than one year or both.

Application Requirements 
Each application must include the following :-

• Special Business License Application Form
• An issue of "Memorandum and Articles of Association" and "Form 24 & 49" if it is registered with the Company Act 1965 (Pte. Ltd. Company).
• A copy of the latest property tax receipt and a copy of the applicant's identity card.
• Each form must be attached with 2 passport size photographs.
• A copy of Business Registration Certificate or certificate / authorization related to the business (if any)
• A copy of Certificate of Fitness for Occupancy / Copy of Approval to build a temporary shed and authorization from the land / premise owner.
