  • To ensure that all applications for development or other applications pertaining to development are properly processed and decided within the stipulated timeframe.

Function

Building Plan & Structure Plan Division

  • To Process the Issuance of the Certificate of Fitness for Occupation
  • To Process Addition/Modification Plan
  • To Process the Minor Building Work Permit Applications
  • To Process Road Earthworks and Drainage Plan Applications
  • To Process Advanced Building Plan Approval Applications & Approved Addition/Modification Plans
  • To Conduct Enforcement on Buildings Violating the Rules
  • To Provide Review to The One Stop Centre (OSC) Division

Maintenance and Projects Division

  • To ensure public complaints are processed within 48 hours
  • To identify public complaints pertaining to damaged roads and drains and make an estimate of the cost of repairs to be added into the budget
  • To manage and repair as well as request for allocation to resolve taxpayers’ problems.
  • To provide excellent and efficient services to address the problems raised by the taxpayer by performing the repair works promptly and within specifications.

Client Charter

  • Application for approval for building plan of single houses that does not exceed 3 floors will be approved within 2-3 months provided it is accompanied by proper documentations with the support of this Department and other Departments involved.
  • To approve the plan applications for housing, factory building and four-storey and above building projects within 3-4 months provided it includes completed documents and is supported by this Department and other Departments involved.  
  • To approve the plan applications for renovation/extension of existing buildings within 5 - 9 weeks provided it includes completed documents and is supported by this department.  
  • To issue the Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (CFO) within 2 weeks after the submission of Form E by complying all conditions set and is supported by this department and other departments involved.
