SEGAMAT DISTRICT LEVEL EIDULFITRI OPEN HOUSE AND THE 2013 FLY THE JALUR GEMILANG FLAG CAMPAIGN
In conjunction with the 56th Independence Day Celebration, the Ministry of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage has been mandated to actuate the national level celebration programme. The Celebration Committee Chairman, Datuk Seri Haji Mohd. Shafie Haji Apdal said that in line with the prudent spending practice, the Government has approved an allocation of RM20 million for the main Semarak Merdekaprogramme such as the Jalur Gemilang campaign, religious programmes, Ambang Merdeka celebration and the National Day Parade.

In line with that, the Segamat District Level Eidulfitri Open House Programme was held simultaneously with the Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign on 17 August 2013 at Dataran Segamat. The programme was officiated by YAB Dato Seri Mohd Khaled Bin Nordin, the Menteri Besar of Johor. Also present were the Segamat people's representatives such as, YB Anuar Bin Abd Manap (Sekijang Member of Parliament), YB Datuk Ayub Bin Rahmat (Kemelah Area ADUN), YB Norshida Binti Ibrahim (Buloh Kasap ADUN), YB Chua Tee Yong (Labis Member of Parliament),YB Azhar Bin Ibrahim (Tenang ADUN), Segamat District Council members and representatives from government offices and private agencies around Segamat.

There were various stalls with a variety of dishes on sale such as Satay, Biryani rice, Laksa, Nasi Tomato and many more.
